the black velvet blazer

Adding to my arsenal of outerwear (one can never have too much in my closet), is this velvet blazer from Jarlo London. There is something so delicious about velvet with its lush aesthetics and pure black hue - not to mention how perfectly the texture mingles with leather and shadowy shades. (It's surprising I don't already have a velvet blazer considering my wardrobe of endless black.) This rendition was all about juxtaposing materials and shades, but next time around I'm envisioning a little color or print pop, perhaps a hint of leopard or contrasting it against some denim. Loving the idea of the rich velvet with rugged thrashed jeans.

my outfit: Brooke velvet blazer courtesy of Jarlo London | Zara tee, antik boots and leather-like pants | MAC diva lipstick | Minusey and H&M bracelets

  3. Love this! I've wanted a black velvet blazer forever, such an easy way to add another nice textured layer to an all black outfit, which you are doing perfectly here with the leather look jeans, glossy boots & faded tee... So good!
And I have to say it again, your hair looks so amazing like this! :)
